THE TEAMS
We currently run a number of teams ranging from under 6's to under 14's. The teams play in a range of leagues incuding:
- St. Helens
- Skelmersdale
- Warrington
- Wigan
The Coaches
All the teams are coached by at least one qualified FA Coach. We aim to provide a fun environment within which the players of all abilities can enjoy the game of football while enhancing their abilities.
Training
All teams train within the Rainford area, please see the individual team pages for details of training times and venues.
More Team Coaches Required
We currently do not have any girls teams or U15's or above Teams, if you are player, coach or parent who is interested in forming one of this teams or just want to get more involved with the club, than please contact the the Club Chairman, Graham Fenney.
U6 DEVELOPMENT SCHOOL
Continuing with our progress to achieve Charter Standard Development status we provide football coaching for U6's. The sessions have been running for a number of years and consist of a mix of modern day coaching techniques and fun football games.
If you would like your child to receive the best introduction to the game then come along and join in the fun. We train on Saturday mornings between 9.30am and 10.30am at Corpus Christi Primary School, Old Lane, Rainford. Our development policy includes:
- Fun and development before winning
- The game is the best teacher
- Plenty of free play
- No coaching or shouting from the sidelines
- Let children find their own solutions
- Encourage expression and creativity
- Play in different positions
- Freedom to fail
- Focus on individual development
We are also looking to recruit new coaches to help in the development of the children at this age. If you are a keen and enthusiastic person with lots of patience we would like to hear from you.
