For 35 years Rainford Rangers Junior Football Club has provided opportunities for children in the village to play football, develop and realise their potential. Our club has positively impacted thousands of children. Historically we have been dependent on local schools and the St Helens Council to provide playing and training facilities. It has always been our vision to establish a home ground, a facility we can truly call ‘THE HOME OF RAINFORD RANGERS’. Given the present number of teams in our younger age groups, and to meet the expected demand for pitches in the future, we now need to turn that vision into reality. To enable us to achieve our aim we have been granted planning permission to create up to 5 new football pitches, in an ideal location on land at the rear of the Parish Church. This is an ideal location for both Rainford Rangers and the Local Community.
In order to raise the funds, we are inviting the people of Rainford and anyone who has been connected with the club or will be in the future, to ‘buy’ a square metre of turf for the new pitches. If you would like to ‘buy’ one or more of our new pitches, please complete and return the ‘buy’ a square metre of turf form together with your cheque for the appropriate amount. All contributions will be acknowledged. All those who contribute will be entered into a raffle, the number of tickets will be dependent on the number of square meters purchased. Included in the raffle will be a holiday voucher. The raffle will take place at the inaugural opening of the new ground.
For more information then please see the full item on our news page.

Rainford Rangers Football Club is based in the village of Rainford in Merseyside, North West England and is approximately 15 miles from Liverpool.
The Club was awarded FA Charter status which is attained by meeting standards of conduct and organisation set by the Football Association.
We currently run 8 teams with ages ranging from under 7's to under 13's. Each team is run by a fully qualified FA coach.
Each team is listed on our Team Page, giving details of where and when they train and the leagues they play in.
Teams are entered into the many local leagues for competitive matches, but are also available for friendlies. Please contact Managers directly via the 'Contacts' page.
We provide football coaching for U6's. See the U6 Development School page for more details.
We have some outstanding photographs of the players for purchase.
These are of individuals and teams including many 'action' shots. To view these photos please follow the link to our photography site and enter a password, this can be obtained from a team coach. All proceeds, less a small amount to pay the hosting website, goes to the club. A big thank you to Mark Crossfield for managing this.
